Happy 2018!

We're already 10 days into the new year and I've hardly had any chance to voice my thoughts and dreams for this year. The year started with a bang with work and impending studies settling in my "holiday" head (and spread sheets). Even though I had no leave between Christmas and New Years, the quiet roads and soundless office rustle made for a delightful illusion of holiday cheer.

It's day 10 and I'm fighting with Service providers in our country.
Registration with my distance learning institution opened last week and it was, as expected, and epic fail from the start. Encouraged to register online it crashed the first day and just didn't respond to any click of a button the days after that. Once I was able to miraculously register, it didn't give you the confirmation needed to make payments. Only after spending my early morning hours in a line of hopeful students where I able to register successfully. So much for self-help/online registration. And to think I still have along road to walk with them, crawl it may seem in many instances.
(PS. I trust you can expect to see similar posts every other 6 months for the next 6 years....)

The dreaded Home Affairs....do they even deserve a mention on this happy ray of sunshine (sometime) blog of mine...? Bleh....I just have bad luck with them. I need to renew my passport... although it is still valid, at the time of our planned holiday later this year, it is only valid about less than 6 months on return....not sure if I want to take that chance? Decisions, decisions....

We bought our dream home but live next to Satan's spawn (our neighbour).....let's not go there.

I'll be doing 3 modules this semester of which Accounting causes the biggest concern at the moment. Commercial Law should be a breeze (or slow read) and Business Information Systems will most likely be a refresher from what I did in my IT Diploma. The next 6 months up until examination is planned to the T so you probably won't be reading much about my life. I need to get my priorities straight. And I need to save for said holiday and EUR does not come by cheap if you earn ZAR.

Nonetheless this should be a joyful year with new learning's and new discoveries.

Will keep you posted.
